Gearbox, Gear & Circulation Oil Filtration

Filtration for the control of wear particles and water contamination in high-volume gearboxes, gear units, and central circulation systems.

Typical Risks

What do we encounter in the system?

  • Wear metals
  • Dirt load in high-viscosity oils
  • Water ingress
  • Tank and line sludge
  • Post-maintenance flushing requirement
OEMLUBE Approach

How do we work?

  • Off-line filtration with appropriate flow rate
  • Equipment selection based on viscosity
  • Water separation options
  • Pre/post-maintenance conditioning
  • Result verification through sampling and analysis

Application Principle

The filtration unit is selected according to the system.

Filter micron rating alone is not a sufficient selection criterion. Oil viscosity, temperature, existing pump/valve structure, tank volume, desired circulation time, water load, and target cleanliness value must be evaluated together.

Analysis

Oil and contamination status are determined.

Connection

Suction-return points and safe on-site connections are planned.

Filtration

Oil is cleaned off-line with a controlled flow rate.

Control

The result is confirmed with a final sample and on-site observation.
